Farewell L.R.V

Sadly this month it was time to say goodbye to the L.R.V (a.k.a my little red van).  It has been with me since I started the Bags 2 Love journey, and through all the good times and bad times since.  It has reliably taught me how to park, handle a diesel 1.9 engine, pack constructively using every available space when transporting items to the recycling centre, and always stood out in the car park to my friends and customers!
Recently, it has also taught me how to cope with breakdowns, breakdown and garage "blokey blokes" talking parts and breaker's yards and sleepless nights over repair costs. So now it is all up and running (and running good!) it has gone to a new owner who is young, has just passed his test, but already knows all about diesel cars and vans, and will love it and bomb around in it I am sure. Also he will have treasured memories in time to come of this being his first vehicle.
As for me I will remember the good times and whenever I see "go faster stripes" on a van, raise a smile.....

About Me

I am a keen make do and mender/recycler. I love crocheting too.  I have a "magpie eye" for anything sparkly, vintage or uber-cool!  I love live music, cups of tea ( I am so English!), and a cracking novel to read.
