Tatting:Take Two

A while back I had a go at Tatting but I have to say without much success.  However, last month at the Acle Craft Club at Acle Library a lady came who wanted to learn to tat and I promised her in the next month I would have another go at it and a promise IS a promise so I have spent this month following instructions and video's to crack it.
Yep it was still as tricky as I remembered but after MUCH effort and making hundreds of wrong knots I had a breakthrough and actually learned how to "flick the stitch" correctly.  So I can now do double stitch and picots with my trusty shuttle. Only ended up with a very tiny ring for my work, but I was pleased I had cracked the basic !

About Me

I am a keen make do and mender/recycler. I love crocheting too.  I have a "magpie eye" for anything sparkly, vintage or uber-cool!  I love live music, cups of tea ( I am so English!), and a cracking novel to read.
